Building in your back yard?

I want to build a recreation room in my back yard how do i start where do i get a permitt.

Need to check with the city to see how big you can build without a permit. Depending on your foundation you may also have to do a service location for your utility lines. If the building is to be attached to the home, certain foundations are required to support it. This all depends on your local bylaws and building codes. Talk to your City Hall and they should be able to point you in the right direction.

you can build up to 160' in your yard w/o permit, other wise, design it and take it to the building dept
