Trying to find God is not blasphemous. It fact, God is quite easy to find---he is standing next to you. All you have to do is reach out and touch him with your heart, and he will expose himself to you and never leave you.

Jesus said, "Seek and you shall find.".
What is blasphemous is calling a Revelation of God evil. Or using the Name of the Lord God in vain.
Rejecting God is when one rejects the Truth about God or rejects God when God reveals a truth about God. It is called rebellion.
Yes God, wants us to look to Him. Jesus is the High Priest for ever after the order of Melchizedek. He is the intermediary to God the Father. So to look up to Jesus. Seek and you shall find.

Christianity requires blind faith, so if you were to go and try to educate yourself for discovery then that would be blasphemous as it is a contradiction.
One could also argue that going off into the wilderness to discover God is more of a Pagan type ritual than Christian so, again, by Christian definition it is blasphemous.
Meditating would be using New Age/Pagan techniques again.
Suffice to say, unless you simply accept it, in its Christian definition going to find God is blasphemous.
Glad I'm Pagan, as I couldn't handle all these rules.

No, I don't think it is blasphemous because we can see him in all his marvelous creation. I think most of us take pleasure in the beauty around us even when everything else about us is not good. I have included a link I think you will enjoy, "Is God Everywhere?

No. Scripture even instructs us to seek after God. If you seek after Him with all your heart you will find Him (Scripture promises us this).

Blasphemy is verbal; the cursing or reviling of God.
Why not seek Him out? Isn't that what we are asked to do?
