What's a good dessert/recipe to take to a potluck for Thanksgiving that you don't have to put in the oven?

This is so good and simple, I make it every year for my hubby's platoon.. and we are talking about 200-300 people and it is the first thing to go..


INGREDIENTS

* 1 (20 ounce) can crushed pineapple with juice
* 1 (3 ounce) package instant pistachio pudding mix
* 1 (12 ounce) container frozen whipped topping, thawed
* 2 large bananas, sliced
* 2 cups miniature marshmallows
* 1 (15.25 ounce) can fruit cocktail, drained
* 1 (11 ounce) can mandarin oranges, drained

DIRECTIONS

1. Dump instant pudding into a large mixing bowl. Add pineapple, and mix well. Mix in nondairy whipped topping. Stir in bananas, marshmallows, fruit cocktail, and mandarin oranges. Cover, and refrigerate until thoroughly chilled.

This is a delicious cake:

Ingredients and Materials:

Inverted cake dish (dessert dish with a stand)
Chocolate pound cake (bought at store)
English custard or premium vanilla ice cream (melted)
Canned cranberry sauce
Whipped cream
Spoon

Cut the pound cake into little cubes (figure A) and place a layer on the bottom of an inverted cake dish.

Add a layer of the English custard or melted premium vanilla ice cream and some cranberry sauce.

Continue to add layers of pound cake and custard or ice cream and distribute the cranberry sauce throughout.

Top with the whipped cream and refrigerate.

No-Bake Strawberry Shortcake

2 pints strawberries
1 package Sara Lee pound cake, thawed, cut into 10 slices
1 1/3 cups blueberries, divided
1 container whipped topping, thawed

Slice 1 cup of the strawberries; set aside. Halve remaining strawberries; set aside. Line the bottom of a 12 x 8-inch baking dish with pound cake slices. Top with 1 cup sliced strawberries, 1 cup of the blueberries and all of the whipped topping. Place strawberry halves and remaining blueberries on whipped topping to garnish on top. Refrigerate until ready to serve.

“Candy” Bars
1 2/3 cups (11-ounce package) Butterscotch Flavored Morsels
4 cups toasted rice cereal
2 cups (11.5-ounce package) Milk Chocolate Morsels, divided

Grease 13 x 9-inch baking pan.Microwave butterscotch morsels in large, microwave-safe bowl on MEDIUM-HIGH (70%) power for 1 minute; stir. Microwave at additional 10- to 20-second intervals, stirring until smooth. Stir in cereal and 1 cup milk chocolate morsels. Press evenly into prepared baking pan. Top with remaining chocolate morsels. Cool in refrigerator for 20 minutes and cut into squares.

Peanut Butter Pie
8 ounces cream cheese (at room temperature)
1 cup creamy peanut butter
12 ounces whipped topping (Cool Whip is recommended)
1 1/4 cups powdered sugar
9-inch graham cracker or chocolate cookie crumb crust

With an electric mixer, blend cream cheese and peanut butter together until smooth. Add whipped topping; then add powdered sugar. Blend until smooth and creamy.Spoon into crust. Chill 3 hours.

* No bake cheese cake (you can find a receipe on foodtv.com)
* Buy a plain angel cake from the store and cut strawberries but that on top and some whipcream.
* Fruit cut up (for fruit salad) add o.j. and sugar mix and serve

lemonade pie.
for 1 pie you need:
1 graham cracker crust
1/2 of a small can of pink lemonade,
1/2 can of small eagle brand milk (I think there is only one size)
small carton of coolwhip. mix all ingredients and put into pie crust, chill and serve..............This is the best and easiest pie ever. Soooooo refreshing! Good luck!
