If you suspect that milk and milk products are a problem, take your child to the doctor and ask to have him tested for intolerances/allergies to this. Make the appointment first, then make sure to write down ALL the food that he has had during the time period between making the appointment and going to it. That way, you will have evidence of any reactions. Also note if anything unusual is going on at home, if he is throwing tantrums, how frequent his stools are, and if he appears to have any reactions to any other foods. I would not recommend specifically giving him foods that you think he may be allergic to... a true allergic reaction gets worse the more times you are exposed to it, so the outcome of giving him something he may be allergic to could be very harmful. Talk to your child's doctor and see what he says before giving him anything you think he may be allergic to.

I would suggest trying him on soya milk and see if there are any problems, I'll admit it still doesn't taste all that great yet. Also call your doctor to get him in and checked out. I don't know if there is a difference between a milk allergy and being lactose intollerant but as a baby the doctor told my mom that I was allergic to milk and had to go on soya formula but when I went from formula to milk I was fine. Now I am 25 years old and the doctor told me that I am lactose intollerant after I went and talked to him about stomach problems not realizing until I talked to him that it was happening right after I had milk, cheese, ice cream or any other dairy really. The other thing a neighbor suggested to me shortly after that, she is lactose intollerant as well, try a lower fat milk, like 1% or skim milk and brick cheese instead of slice. I was already drinking 1% milk and eating brick cheese anyway so I had to go on medication.
Best of luck to you and your son.

I bet it is a lactose intolerance. I would consult a doctor about it because my daughter was intolerant and ended up with ulsters on her colon from it, and she wasn't' t even vomiting from it. It can delay growth and delay development mild stones. You should try and give him soy milk and see how he reacts. Bu I would definitely tell a doctor what is happening. They will have the best advise and solutions. Good luck!

My husband is allergic to milk and does the EXACT same thing!
Stop giving him milk. Ask your Dr. what to do instead. Try multi vitamins or lactate milk. Along with any other dairy products. Some times they grow out of it, and some times not. But for now I would back off on the dairy.

2% of the toddlers develop an alergy to milk and that makes it the most common food allergy for that age. Most of them as they grow up the stop having that allergy.
Common symptoms are diarhea and vomit.
In some rare cases some children have anaphylaxis to milk and they have that for all their lives

It does sound like a problem with lactose. I would ask a doctor but maybe give him soya milk until you do to avoid making him sick.

Don't test it out by giving him a glass of milk. Instead, I would ask you doctor about it, and until then don't give him milk products.
Good Luck!
