Dear Bruno cs: We generally recognize that we seemingly have two parts of Mind inside of ourselves. One we tend to think of as the human Intellect - our human awareness or consciousness.

Many of us also recognize that something else seems to exist within us - which is our spirit or soul.

I see both parts as my singular Self. In the physical world we use a human thing called Intellect, to learn of the world we find ourselves in. But, I experience my soul/spirit as guiding me to Thoughts that are sublime, transcendent and morally higher than what my Intellect perceives and offers to me. And, so I perceive that both parts exist within me.

Since all earthly things have emanated from the All Knowledge of something greater than humans, I have determined that something greater must be the Absolute Knowledge of Spirit. The first Spirit is - as I contemplate it - the Creator - whether or not it Created the physical world. What it DID Create is more of it's Self - other Spirit-Minds.

I see the physical body as a home or temple for the Spirit that I am - the Altar in this temple of my flesh - is my soul or Spirit-being. The flesh is temporal and ages and withers. It experiences a death. HOWEVER, body is an empty thing, an empty vessel - without YOU operating it.

Soul or Spirit is eternal. When Jesus demonstrated the Resurrection, he showed a re-appearance of body and a continuation of it - for as long as he desired. Did he demonstrate this as a special ability of his own? Or, did he mean for it to demonstrate a Truth about each of us, and that he was similar to us? I choose this latter sentence.

Eternal-ness is an attribute of Soul/Spirit. I do not believe physical birth is a beginning. It is a continuing of Soul/Spirit which was, originally, Created - not made (as in human procreation).

I believe you canNOT die, even through Free Will, because the Creator of our true Self, Spirit, created in His Own Likeness and, therefore, Eternal-ness belongs to us. Physical life is like a continuum. . .the Soul makes appearances ; through a process human Intellect accepts and has named procreation.

We do not die.

Best regards, Lana

Death is Death. (The Final Judgement.) If Death was not the end, then how could your Judgement be the Final one? You would have to be judged again in the afterlife surely!
One of my friends (of 26 years) died a few months ago of Cancer. His last wish was to have his ashes spread in a special place, on my families farm. We planted a tree in his honour and made a bench, with a fantastic view.
His ashes where spread all around the area of the Bench and Tree as per his wishes. He now only lives on in our minds. The location of his ashes, are now only important to ourselves, but he did get his last wish.

When God made man He made him a living soul and that soul will never die. If you have believed and trusted that the Lord Jesus Christ died for your sins then you will live forever in heaven. 2 Corinthians 5: 1 For we know that if our earthly house of this tabernacle were dissolved, we have a building of God, an house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens. If you reject what the Lord Jesus Christ did on the cross then you will send yourself to hell for eternally. Revelation 20: 13 And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man according to their works. Revelation 20: 14 And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death. Revelation 20: 15 And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.

Yep.
Despite thousands of different "afterlife" myths held by thousands of different cultures since humans evolved, all of which promise some kind of life after death (and usually in a "paradise"), there has never been a single documented case or viable piece of evidence to show that there is any such thing.
When you're dead, it's over. Enjoy life while you can and make the most of it, 'cause it's all you've got!

No there is life after death.

If death was the end there would not be a Hell and Paradise.

Depends on your life. You can step into eternal life or eternal death, depends on what your choice was. Do you choose death or life, Jesus or nothing or self. It's all up to you.

Unfortunately, yes.

As much as I would like to believe an invisible bit of me lives on in Super Happy Funland forever, or gets to come back to earth to "get things right," I just don't see any evidence or think it's reasonable that an invisible "bit" of me exists at all.

But, if "what I wished" were the same as "what is real" then sure! I'd love to believe in heaven! I'd also love to believe that Gerard Way is infatuated with me. Reality bites.
