Same way everyone else gets an accent spend enough time around people and you will begin to pick up their way of speaking.

You either have too be born with one or have lived in England for ten years in order to have earned one or just simply watch all our TV Programmes and let it sink in.

environment............ I'am American, my husband is British, I hear him speak everyday, My family swears that I have a British accent in my voice, but I do not feel I have one. Plus I lived in UK for nearly 5 years and so there you have it, I guess I have a little twang in my words spoken.
