on filling a gearbox with oil today it says fill with 10cm3 (cubed?) can anybody tell me what this amount is in english, its not a large gearbox thankyou

If you are from the States:
10 cubic centimeter = 2.028 841 354 Teaspoon [US]
(Or about 2 teaspoons)

If you are from the UK
10 cubic centimeter = 2.815 606 378 Teaspoon [UK]
(Or about 3 teaspoons)

10cm3 in Imperial would be 0.61024 Cubic Inches

that's a very small gear box, you sure ?

Imagine a flat cube like shape 3.33cm x 3.33cm x 1cm , is that right?

If so 10ml or milli litres

To the below, UK teaspoon is a standard 5ml, i left my maths to 3 sig fig, there is no about in maths!!

1 cc = 0.0351950652 Imperial fluid ounces

so 10cc = 0.35 fluid ounces.

There are 20 fl ounces to a pint so thats a tiny amount!
