Okay our legal justice system does perceive that there is a difference in certain offenses obviously you have them confused....How dare you to compare the heinous crime of raping someone (A felony) to the illegal immigrant to the date a (Misdemeanor -- to mean minor crime)

I cant quite pinpoint what your specific question is, but I have to say this anyway. The issue is here is that a solution must be found that will agree with the needs of all because even though this is a nation of laws, the illegal immigration problems we face today are due to the fact that we cant seem to enforce those laws, our laws. Saying that they ALL need to be deported upon being found or shooting when caught are so unrealistic and so not going to happen that its dilusional to even think them. If our government cannot even enforce the laws already in the books, what in the he** makes you folks think he's going to do anything even remotedly drastic. You know what's so sad is that we're viewing the event at Farmer's Branch, Texas as this huge victory, which Im sure it is, when the only thing they are actually doing is enforcing the existing laws. Come on now!! These people are not going anywhere, dumb solutions are never going to happen, so what left, other than to get real and start writing to your politicians with reall suggestions and ideas, because quite frankly I dont see that all the name calling (ie. hypocrites, criminals) that is done in this forum is doing much to help the problem at all!!

They don't get it, I doubt they ever will. If I become a drug dealer because I need to support my family and I feel so desperate that there is no other way, it makes me no different from an illegal immigrant. Both have their reasons for doing what they do, and both are equally detrimental to society. But the concept of a society and being a good citizen is not a concept the "pro-illegal" understands. I wonder when would they decide to be a good citizen? If they do not report crime because it is "none of their business what other people do"- will they ever report a meth lab, an abused child, or call the police if they see a robbery or rape being committed? Can they ever be counted on to uphold ANY law, under this logic that they hold? Probably not.

lets face it we can make all the analogies we want but the bottom line is their labor is wanted here. If you deny that then you have blinders on to the whole situation. Business brings them here not hand outs as so many claim. The recent measures taken in Farmers Branch Texas this week are a great example. They passed a law requiring people to provide proof of legal status for all occupants when renting a property or apartment, they changed all documents at city hall to English Only, they even okayed training a jail official to do background checks on people arrested and the power to turn them over to federal agents!! But the one thing that was not included in the measures was a punishment on businesses in Farmers Branch that hire and employ undocumented workers........and if they don't do that then nothing will change..........if they wanted to they could have made a measure that would have punished businesses for it but good AMERICAN BUSINESS MEN made them change their minds. Blame the AMERICANS that enable and promote undocumented workers they are the real problem, and who knows one of them might live next door to you......

How do you equate rape to moving to another country so you can provide a better life for your family??? As long as people can make ten times as much money in the US as they can in their home country, they will continue to come here to work, legal or not. And if we make it more difficult for them to come here, then the work will just continue to flow to them in their home country, whether that is India or Mexico or wherever. The only "law" that affects immigration is the law of supply and demand. Politicians have no power over that law.

1. getting a job to help your family and physically raping someone is a ridiculous comparison.
2. America is founded on immigration legal or illegal I am sure the Native Americans feel more raped than the poor white man who cant get a job.
3. If they want to come to America they should do it the legal way we need to make sure that the employers follow set laws. Building a fence isn't going to solve anything just waste tax payer money.
4. America has way bigger problems than this political smoke screen of immigration how about the trillions in debt or a war or two...

Would you rather live next store to an illegal alien family who is working, not taking public money and just trying to make it in life or would you rather live next door to OJ? As ridiculous as that sounds it is no more ridiculous as lumping the crime of illegal presence, a civil crime, with felonies such as rape, murder etc.

I get very tired of hearing how poor illegals are exploited by the big bad American company's..No one forced them to cross the border illegally,no one forced them to accept
"low" wages, even tho those low wages are 10 times more than they made in their home country. No one is to blame for the low wages and any bad working conditions except the illegal alien himself. If he was legal he could demand higher wages ,but he chose to come here via the illegal quick route.
The laws are made to be obeyed,if you disobey them
and don't get caught.you are still a law breaker.
The illegals are personally affecting the taxes I have to pay to help support them,in the lowering of any property values in certain areas on my city,by the increase in crime and cost of incarceration. In my state of AZ I can tell you all about how they personally affect our schools our hospitals and every other facility that tax money pays for.

Bravo !!!
American taxpaying citizens have been systematically abused by these illegal aliens. Mexico in particular and Central America in general has adopted a policy of promoting this illegal immigration to avoid making needed changes in their corrupt system. The people with the most motivation to promote change in these governments see it as easier to come to America than to stay at home and fight for changing their own governments. The things that they most need, livable wages, social welfare systems, access to healthcare to name a few are not available to the poor of these countries. Rather than biting the bullet and making their governments provide these services they instead break our laws and avail themselves of the benefits that are intended to help American poor.
Worse yet, by sending money back to their home countries for the benefit of their families, these aliens are pumping money back into the corrupt systems that forced them to come to America in the first place.
To Medcent...
Why should we compromise on this. I do sympathise with their desire for a better life. I don't sympathise with their choices. Our country does not have limitless resources. Every dollar our government spends is taken from the earning of it's citizens and corporations. If I choose to help someone and donate to a Charity or give to an individual it is my decision to make. It should not be forced down my throat by the decisions of people who don't have to pay my bills and feed my family.
