I am a pretty new driver (been driving for 2 years and im 19 years old).I recently got a speeding ticket for going 15 over. There were no points taken so I thought that my insurance would not go up, and that taking it to court would only lesson the cost of the ticket which was only 50$ so i just paid it. Now I am unsure if my insurance will increase. I never signed anything pleaing guilty, i was given the paper with my ticket but when I paid they never asked to to sign anything. So I am wondering is there any way that maybe i could still go to court and get the ticket taken off my record? I don't care about getting my 50$ back. Or if it will even raise my insurance at all.

It shouldn't affect your insurance rates. It usually takes a lot more than 15 over. Usually, it's 50 over. Whatever the case, you should ask your insurance company or "POINTTS", those traffic ticket people. Insurance companies are super picky also about disclosing information. I haven't had to deal with this for years, and things might be different, but from what I can remember, now that you've paid the ticket, it's too late to go to court.

I would recommend one to try this web site where you can get rates from the best companies: http://INSURANCECOMPAREQUOTES.US/index.html?src=2YAhzl02ZDH44BJD

yes your insurance will go up, if your insurance agent finds it on your next summary.some times the police will tell you it won't make your insurance go up but it does.this happened to me, i was out of state and got a ticket for speeding and the officer said because i was in an other state it wouldn't affect my insurance but it did...sorry just watch your speed, happens to the best of us too....
