I'm 14 years old a recently my mum pondered over whether or not I have OCD. I looked at all the things I did and can't come to a conclusion, though I think I probably have it. If someone coughs, sneezes or burps near me, I have to move away or hold my breath until the 'bad air' is gone. If I don't I feel really sick and like something terrible is going to happen. I also have a fear of germs, like when I'm going to have a bath I have to get every speck of dirt off from the surface of the bath. I can spend up to an hour scrubbing away at the bath trying to fully clense it. I have fears of touching things in pubic too like walls and tables, incase the germs infect me. I even won't use soap unless it's been running under water for a while, to get rid of the germs lying on it. When I'm going up stairs I always go up two at a time and when I'm counting it has to be in even numbers. I just can't imagine what it'd be like counting with odd numbers. So, what do you guys think? =3

hi,
i live with ocd. i didn't realize that i had ocd unil i was 25, but the only person that can really tell you if you have ocd is psycharist. there are alot of ways to live with ocd instead of suffering with ocd. i am not going to lie to you but it is hard work. i go to thearpy once a week where i learn how to rethink about my fears of germs, and touching people. i also have and will again take medication to help me while i get my ocd under control. the medicine doesn't take away the ocd but it helps you think clearer so that you can really deal with treatment.
go to this website for more information: ocfoundation.org for doctors around your area and for support groups. i attend a support group once a month and it really does help to know that i am not the only one who feels this way.
=)

It sounds like you're on the right track to having OCD.
I haven't been diagnosed with it, however, I ritualize every single day, I have a problem getting to sleep without setting my alarm clock the same way every night and once I develop a new obsessive compulsive habit, it's hard to shake it unless I nip it in the bud.
So yes, I do think that you have a case of OCD on your hands but at the same time, I'm not qualified to make that assumption.

I, too, have this problem. In my little international, no person would have long fingernails. Fingernails does not be allowed to come again to the top of your arms. comparable difficulty applies to toenails. decrease them, tear them, chew them, chew them, report them, yet only get rid of them. and human beings's diets would be replaced so as that the fingernails would proceed to be on the thin component. I rather can not stand to ascertain thick fingernails or toenails. that's amazingly repulsive to me. and because that's my little international, in spite of the undeniable fact that it has no longer something to do with OCD, at age 30-All persons would be sterilized. in case you had little ones earlier you have been 30, then stable, in case you planned to attend...Too undesirable. so as that any undesirable little ones out right here would desire to have of venture of being accompanied. hi, it relatively is only my little international. And it would be a capital offense to injury an animal and if it have been a kin animal inclusive of a puppy, the guy would get the dying penalty. hi, that's my Utopia.

These types of behaviors could be many different things. Make an appointment with a mental health professional who has experience with OCD and can evaluate you. Treatment for this is available and is very sucessful. Many people suffer with these types of symptoms. Seek help before it starts to affect your relationships with others and work/ school life. Best of Luck!

Yes, these are classic symptoms. Get to a counselor sooner rather than later. The longer you have the disorder, the harder it will be to get control of it. Good luck!
