During the dry seasons, my hair gets really staticy. It's driving me crazy & I'm not sure what to do to help/prevent it.

humectants (to add moisture to dry hair)
pomade
hairspray (not alcohol spray.)
natural bristle brush (they will help distribute natural oils found in the hair and scalp)
humidifier in the home
silk pillowcase (cotton will absorb oils and it's naturally drying)

a few suggestions.

I had long blond hair too and that's getting long returned now ! What helped me became into to ascertain to have it trimmed a minimum of each and every couple of months, which removes chop up ends and makes it seems already plenty fit and much less "static," as nicely as braiding it or scrunching it up at night protects it. that's, in case you dont' recommendations having wavy hair the subsequent morning.

Believe it or not Static Guard in the blue and orange can... You can find it in the laundry isle at your local grocery store. That is what we used in high school and it had no horrid side effects and did not cause your hair to dry out. It was a quick cheap fix that I still use today.

Try using a small amount of an anti-frizz serum after you blow dry your hair, or, try spraying Static Guard on your hair (back in the 80s, we did this a lot).

I have that problem during the winter too. I make sure to use a conditioner when I wash my hair, avoid (if possible) to brush my hair.

When it gets really bad I use a product called "Protex" it's a leave-in conditioner. I think there is another product called "Infusiom" that works well too. Look for a product that says "leave-in conditioner".

Good luck!

Some of these are good answers, but what really works to tame it instantly is this: spray some hairspray on a comb and run it through your hair. Try it! Believe me it works!

Spray your brush with hair spray and then brush it. It helps.
