I believe that you are talking about The Anti-Cruelty Society. The mobile clinic doesn't operate any more, but there is a low income clinic located at the shelter downtown and a low cost spay/neuter clinic that is open to anyone, regardless of income. You can get her spayed for just $25. The website is www.anticruelty.org, or call 312-644-8338.

PAWS Chicago also has a low cost spay/neuter clinic; I believe they charge $35. I think the website is www.pawschicago.org, but you can do a Google search on the name and you'll find the site.

Good for you on wanting to see that your dog is properly spayed. I'm sure if you checked your local phone book, you could find a phone number where you can call them directly to ask about this. If they don't offer this anymore, they may be able to refer you to some place that does. I live in Michigan and we have a place called C-Snip, which is specifically intended to help low income families afford to spay/neuter their pets, and they only charge $55 for a medium size dog. A city as large as Chicago must have something like this and I'm sure the Humane Society can give you a referral if they don't offer this themselves.

Good luck and thank you for being a responsible pet owner!
