how do I keep her safe, but have her active instead of in her crib and a playpen. I have a gated hexagon, that can keep her safe, but I have a 2 yr old with a listening problem and he likes to shake it.

The best way to keep her safe from older child is to focus on teaching the 2 yo how to behave around the baby. At those ages it'll be hell and extremely difficult to keep them separated all the time.

Make your house child proof clean everything up, take away any thing that can break, make sure that there is no sharp edges can he/she can bump into, and make sure there is no tight spaces that your baby can crawl into and always keep an eye on your baby always know where he/she is you never know what curious hands can do. Good Luck!.....

My experience was simly this...If you want your baby to remain active but safe, you too have to remain active. There is no replacement for adequate adult supervision.

let them play. eventually he will get over shaking it. jsut proof the house, and let her crawl wild. it is good for her brain to get to crawl everywhere. have fun

let her crawl, just keep an eye on her, I don't see the problem, as long as you are there she will be fine.
