I am not afraid to say that I had an abortion almost 2 years ago.
At the time I was having alot of kidney and bladder problems. The doctors told me I did have reson to be concerned, because they would not be able to do the proper testing with me carrying. So I had the abortion with my husband by my side supporting me. Late I discovered after testing I had problems with the lining of my bladder. I made peace with my decision, before I even had the procedure done. I even talked to my what would have been a daughter and told her, sorry but it wasnt meant to be... I think that when it comes to this touchy subject there is no answer that is neither wrong or correct. Murder is Murder you say? Well then say that to yourself with your hands around someones throat because they raped your daughter, would this be justified.. I only say this because there is no definites.. But as always I would like to hear your answer>. what do you think?

I think that you are committing another sin by creating your own God the one that you want him to be "Though shall not have any gods before me"..You have no faith because if you did you would have trusted that God would make all things right. Make all the excuses you want for why you did what you did. This baby was God Will and a test of your faith. Unfortunately you failed the test. Let me ask you this? If your baby's father went out and raped someone and was considered a rapist ..should I be able to kill your child. I'll answer that for you NO because your child never did anything wrong so why would I harm that child. It 's the same thing that when a women is raped that child did nothing wrong. So why would I or anyone else hurt it. All life is sacred and Is part of God's perfect plan. Sorry don't mean to sound like I'm picking on you. Jesus is the way the truth and the light and he is All Forgiving with those whom ask for it. God bless you

You asked what we think, so I am going to be blunt with you. There is never any justification for killing an innocent human being. Both in your situation and in the case of rape, the child was/is totally innocent. Your daughter didn't do anything to deserve death. She deserved your love and protection, regardless of your physical challenges. You made the CHOICE to kill her. Don't write it off saying "it wasn't meant to be." Can you imagine holding a gun to the head of a two-year-old and saying, "Sorry, honey, mommy just can't handle taking care of you right now" and pulling the trigger? You did exactly the same thing, except your daughter was even more defenseless and innocent than a two-year-old.

When we sin, that is turning our backs on God, yes. Abortion is sin. It is destroying what God created in His own image.

Whenever we sin we turn our backs on God. Abortion is a mortal sin, but you have to take into account the individual's situation (was she forced, did she know how wrong it was, was she misinnformed, etc.) I just asked an abortion question on Y! Answers. Abortion is NEVER right. If one has to die, the mother should live first, but she decides.

Here's a beautiful, yet sad story:

A pregnant mother was told she had cancer, and that the kymotherapy could kill the baby. She chose to wait after the
baby was born before she had kymo. She died because she waited, but it showed how much she loved her child. Giving your life for someone is the greatest act of love.

God Bless you.

But through it all I think you are having a guilty conscience and are trying to justify the abortion because of the health problems. The Bible says, "If we confess our sin, God is faithful and fair to forgive us our sins." If you ask, you will be forgiven and then you must forgive yourself. You had to make a hard decision, it wasn't easy and now what is done is done. Moving on won't be easy or quick but you will do it in time.

you are the best person that can answer your question....

Did you turn your back on God? What does your conscience and conviction tell you? Do you feel you have a right standing with God? Do you know Him personally?

I am not questioning your reasoning as to why you have done it. But you post this question here, so somewhere deeper in you is telling you something-- it's really between you and God; and not us and you. Seek for His answer to your question. God is an understanding God. Jesus welcomes anyone to come to Him to rest their burdens upon Him.

When you seek Him sincerely and diligently, you will find the answer to your question. He will not fail to give you the right answer. *smile*

James Robison is a great man of God who founded many wonderful organizations that benefit humanity and his mother was raped. He's thankful to be here. Abortion is definitely the killing of a human being, plain and simple, and there are many medical and emotional consequences for this choice.

You are asking a question about a past action. It is forgiven and can be put away from your thoughts. God is bigger than death. God made the body and knows it's limits. Some people will be in peril if impregnated. And others are there to line up on both sides, shouting slogans and chants. So, whatever you chose, it is the here and now that counts. What can you do today? Make someone smile. We are all in the same boat, all equal, no matter the past/future...and we all need to smile more.... :-)

- I believe that when we take it upon ourselves to end a life without biblical support for our action it is a sin.

- The Bible tells us that we should not murder & murder is killing without just cause.

- Everytime any of us sins we turn our backs on God, but that is the beauty of Jesus' sacrifice. We can ask for forgiveness & turn from our sins.

- Abortion biblically is wrong, but everyone of us has sinned so we all must give an account to God & Jesus alone not to anyone else.

You have not turned your back on God. The RC church does state that if the life of hte mother is in danger, an abortion is ok. My mom had an abortion when she was young, and it still tears her up today. When she first heard my heartbeat (I'm the eldest) she cried for that lost child. I don't see it as turning your back on God, we all make mistakes. Don't worry about it and pray.

However, if you don't believe in God, or christianity isn't your religion, then dont' worry about the praying. Do what your religion suggests.
