I was a blonde also and I went with an auburn shade. It's a lighter shade of brown/red mixture. Matter of fact, it looks just like my avatar - lol. I also have light blue eyes. I currently use the shade called "Sangria" by Garnier Nutrisse. It looks great if you add some blonde highlights also...

Loreal Excellence Creme has a lot of nice blond shades, to choose from. I prefer the extra light natural blonde, but I have used campaign blonde, and will try the golden blonde next. They are all nice shades, chose the one most like your own natural blonde shade, you should not have any problems with roots, as the color grows out, and your own blonde color comes in .

Blue eyes and dark hair is stunning. Have foils done in a few shades lighter, if you can't afford it at a hairdresser check around HAIR COLLEGES, where they do it for a very cheap price. They are suprvised by a professional.

Another tip, friends and I personally use to choose hair colour that suits us is by trying on wigs.

If you've used a permanent color on your hair to go from blond to brown, just be careful if you try to 'go back' to blond!!

I did that and I ended up having an UNWANTED GREEN tinge to my hair!!

My best suggestion is to go see a professional hairdresser and go through their 'hair catalogs'

Personally I think brunettes with blue eyes look incredible!

try a light brown or a dark honey blonde. try to stick to shades that are natural looking with not only your eyes but your skin tone too.
i have naturally dark hair and green eyes, light skin and i went light once, it looked horrible.
i've seen alot of people make mistakes with the color of their hair either too dark or too light.
and don't go red or ash. red is hard to dye over (personal experience with that. went red once took me four more dye jobs to get it back to a brown color) and ash gets dull and dingy looking after awhile and looks unattractive.

I always think God knows what's best for everyone of us. If you're a natural blonde and you have light blue eyes, you should keep your hair color in the blonde family. Go darker if you want but add streaks of blonde to add depth.

Red. Red hair looks sick with blue eyes. Ive been dying my hair for years and I have blue eyes. Red hair really brings out the color of your eyes, plus its a very bold color and you'll stand out.

My daughter has light brown hair and steel blue eyes. She looks beautiful. I say go light brown.

I personally feel that dark hair is prettier, and would be a lovely contrast to blue eyes. I say stick with dark brown to black. (Have it done right and black hair isn't that harsh and it's so pretty with light eyes.)
