A man went to a foreign country, when he came back, they had to burn all of his clothes, where did he go?

Nobody I know gets it! It's worded exactly as it appears on the test, anyone?

re: the carpet matching the drapes, ha ha, I have a bare floor

I got this same question in 2ND grade but they said Donald Duck went to...

Its a throw back to small pox and plague, and is outdated and I can't understand why they would still use it, it didn't make sense to me 31 years ago either. I looked it up in a book of I.Q. tests in my 20's, it made reference to some small island I could never find on a map. The residents were all killed off by "a plight" that took over after a passing trader ship left their dead unburried on the beach. Sorry I can't be of more help
