As you know, while watching a horror movie people have a constant hight heart beat rate. Do you think that this can be considered as a cardio excersise that would burn extra calories and eventualy help in losing weight if done over extended period of time?

I have always had this question in mind, hope any doctors are around to provide me with an expert opinion.

Boy, I wish that worked, I'd be skinny!! Unfortunately when watching a horror movie I also am more inclined to snack - can't watch a scary movie without popcorn!!! - so that probably defeats any cardio work-out I might be getting. Damn.

I'm not a doctor, but I know that in order for cardio exercise to be beneficial, the heart rate needs to be consistently higher for at least 30 minutes per session.
