there is no plain hassle, the only hassle you will have is trying to get rid of the cold he caught from the shopping cart, I bought the one at babies ru us for $50 dollars and it works as a high chair cover and shopping cart. It was well worth the money. I love mines I would never give it up. try to find a better one than the one at target, it doesn't look as nice, try ebay

Yes, they fit most restaraunt high chairs as well and can be used until baby is pretty big--my 2 year old nephew still uses his. The big problem is--you go into a store with a baby in one arm, a diaper bag and purse on the other, and you're trying to get the darn thing over the seat--it isn't a pretty sight! We usually end up throwing the thing in the buggy and letting baby play with it instead of sitting in it. Go buy some sanitizing towelettes or even a bottle of hand sanitizer and wipe the seat down.

We have the Floppy- got it from babies r us- it was a little more expensive- $39.99.... but it covers the ENTIRE grocery cart- it isn't like some of those who only covers the seat- I like that so my son isn't touching the cart at all. We can also use it in high chairs... we've had it since he was born, and it's still really durable- easily can wash it too.

also- it has a side pouch that sits in there with the child- I put his toys, and sometimes cheerios in a container in that pouch- I like that so he can easily pull out a toy if he wants. Also- it has rings on it- if you have a play mat, that has attachable rings- you can easily attach a toy to the ring, and attach that ring to the floppy- that way you don't lose toys.

So it's up to you if you want to spend the money- I think we got our money's worth.

I never really see too many people use them at my store. We have the carts that have a car in the front that kids can sit it. Most kids like that more than anything. The ones that I do see use them seem to spend a long time getting it in and out and such so I would say probably no.

I bought the floppy seat on ebay. It covers the entire cart (the one at target doesn't.) It's excellent for my 10 month olds because they love to chew on everything. I have twins so it's hard enough to go shopping without worrying that one's chewing on the dirty cart!

I don't think there's an age limit on them. The floppy seat can also be used on a restaurant high chair. however, not all of them can.

Also, they have an excellent re-sale value on ebay so you could even buy one and re-sell it if you decide not to use it. I'm constantly at different stores (target, walmart, grocery, etc) so it was worth it for us.

I have one for my daughter, I were given it as a touch one bathe present, yet and that i began utilizing it because she did not like her toddler provider once she could take a seat up (about 5 months) yet she couldn't take a seat up o.k. with the cart shifting so I used it to guard her from hitting her head on the perimeters or the front take care of. Now she is 10 months and that i nonetheless use it now and again. frequently only for lengthy buying journeys like grocerys because I have a collection of toys and issues she likes to play with already connected to it. So I only tie both ties on the aspect and she or he has all of her toys and stuff proper there extremely than clipping and unclipping them from the cart everytime. yet for quickly buying journeys she only sits contained in the cart how that's. She would not look to concepts in any respect, and that i doubt she would care if i ended utilizing it. It only relies upon on what style of buying we are doing if i take advantage of it or not.

I got one, and used it a lot. Yes they can be attached to highchairs as well. With flu season coming up, it's nice to avoid germs.

They're good as long as you wish to use them and as long as your child can fit in the shopping cart. My 2 year old son is just getting to the point where he and his legs don't fit as well.

Hope that helps.

Likely better off using a sanitizing wipe on the cart. All the sick kids and adults sneezing and snotting on the cart make it a good practice. When have you seen the foodsores ever clean their carts? I bet there are boogers on it from 1905

I just stuck my kids in the cart, buckled them in, and talked to them going through the store. My kids are easily entertained.

Sounds to me like it's a big waste of money. Besides, the belt you put your groceries on has more germs than the cart. EEWWW!!

I started using them after my son picked up a rota-virus from a shopping cart and wound up in the hospital for a week.

--Yes, they can be used on a restaurant high chair.
