If your boyfriend told you that he has been wanting to propose, but wont because he hasn't found a ring yet what would you think, and how would you act about the situation. My boyfriend told me this a couple weeks ago. I told him that it's not the ring that's binding, it's the fact that he's willing to give that commitment. Honestly I didn't think he would want to to something like this for another couple of years... and I have not been pressuring him at all... HE is the one that brought it up. How do I act now that I know that is how he feels (and I would accept). Has he already "technically" PROPOSED?

I'm not sure why he would even bring it up if he hasn't found the ring yet. I think he is feeling you out to see how you feel about it.In my opinion if he wanted to do it right he would have said nothing, found a ring and then proposed. I think he's scared you don't want too. No he has not technically proposed.

no i don't think he really proposed, but i think he's kinda letting u know how he feels about you..and possibly feeling out what Your answer "might" be.. like how u would react to the thought of marrying him.. i have similar situation.... i chose NOT to talk about marriage too much, because i feel that can make things worse later on if u Don't get marreid.. too much expectations and sadness! but the funniest thing was, HE would bring it up sometimes, and apparently cuz it's bothering him that we Haven't talked about it! so as a man, im guessing he felt unsure how I felt about it, and that made him a bit insecure. :) try to be patient, understanding, and loving, to let him know u are secure in the relationship. sometimes it's easy to get caught up in the "why would he say this now?" or "why is he blah blah blah"...but sometimes it's just cuz he needs some reassurance. good luck to u guys~~!

lets see the same thing was done to me. You just have to stick it all on the back of your mind because you already know that he wants to so just go on with your day and be surprise like i will. i mean you know you think about it all the time i know i do but when you least expect it to it will happen
