If the person is dependable on it and must have it everyday, then yes. If they obsess because they are out and must run to the store to get more, then yes. If they can willingly skip it and do without, then no. From my understanding of alcoholism it's a dependency and the person cannot go without it.

Is that all you drink? Do you drink more on some days than others? Can you go a week without drinking at all? No one can tell you if you are an alcoholic only you can decide for yourself. Please attend an AA meeting and talk to the people there. They really do care and they can help you if you need help. Its all just one day at a time. Good luck!

Do you need to drink that much a day to function? Could you stop drinking entirely if you wanted to, with no problems? Those are the questions you should be asking yourself.

if you can't stop drinking, chances are, you are an alcoholic. craving is a symptom of addiction. try to stop drinking a day or two, if it gives you chills and craves for it like crazy, you're in deep trouble.
