He had his chance and forsook it in the preexistence. He wanted all power and now is wielding all the power he can muster up. Do not feel sorry for him that is just what he wants you to do. He is the author of all the evil in to world beginning before the Garden of Eden when he tried to win the glory from God by taking man’s free agency and be the savior himself if he could have the glory that belongs to God. He has never stopped his evil practices and never will by his own choice. By asking this question you are playing right into his hands. That is a very dangerous place to be. If you start feeling sorry for Satan then you are starting to listen to his gentle whisperings. The more you listen the more the whisperings come until before you know it he has you in his grasp.╔╩╦╦═╬╬╝

Assuming Satan, Heaven, and all those other good things exist, I would want Satan to shape up and repent and go back to Heaven and preferably before Christmas time. My reasons:
This would prove God to be a more forgiving God than a vengeful one.
This will also set an example and inspiration for sinners to repent and start living good lives.
George "Dubyah" Bush would be pulled out of office in order to take the thrown in hell (seeing as how he is the most potential candidate).
Will it be a Christmas without an evil Satan this year? Probably not! However... It would be nice

That's a very difficult question. I don't know if I would WANT Satan to go repent and go back to Heaven. He's done so many horrible things including trying to stop Jesus from dying on the cross and saving everyone. Luckily, as someone already said, it won't happen. I already read the end of the book, too :-)
But good question.

well, Satan is apparently not denied entrance into Heaven, into the presence of the Lord. he cruised right in with the sons of God so that he and the Lord could make a little wager on the faithfulness of Job.
Job 2:1 Again there was a day when the sons of God came to present themselves before the LORD, and Satan came also among them to present himself before the LORD.
but according to the Christians Satan can not repent and be saved. apparently Satan was created to be damned and has no free will to be and do otherwise. no wonder Satan is so resentful.

In ancient Jewish tradition Satan is simply an angel doing the work that God assigned to Satan to do.
The word Satan means challenger. With the idea of Satan challenging us, or tempting if you will. This description sees Satan as the angel who is the embodiment of man's challenges. This idea of Satan works closely with God as an integral part of Gods plan for us. His job is to make choosing good over evil enough of a challenge so that it becomes clear to us that there can be only one meaningful or logical choice.
Contrast this to Christianity, which sees Satan as God's opponent. In Jewish thought, the idea that there exists anything capable of setting itself up as God's opponent would be considered polytheistic or setting up the devil to be an equally powerful polarity to god or a demigod.
Oddly, proof for The Christian satan/devil mythology is supposedly found in the ancient Jewish texts that were borrowed to create the bible. One can’t help but wonder how Christians came up with such a fantastically different interpretation of Gods assistant Satan in their theology.
Other hints about Satan’s role in human relations can be seen if you look at the name Lucifer. It’s meaning in the original tongue translates as Light bearer or light bringer. Essentially the bringer of enlightenment. The temptations of the Satan idea bring all of us eventually into Gods light. Hardly the Evil entity of Christian mythology.

It WOULD be an amusing notion..... afterall... if he did then christianity would cease to function... and break down entirely.
I mean... lets put it this way... Without Satan down there, nobody would be going to hell any more... so the christians wouldn't have any means of threatening people, and they wouldn't feel special any more. Moreover, the people who were already in Hell wouldn't have anyone looking over them and keeping them in line.... so they'd likely run amock and take over the joint.... Eternal torture would come to a grinding halt.... and it would basically become like one huge debauch-fest....
Well.... I can't really be sure where things would go from there..... but it would be very amusing, naturally....
In real terms... christianity just wouldn't work any more... and would cease to be.... which is just great as far as I'm concerned. O'course... I'd sooner they just all die... preferably by head-explodey. In fact if all the christians in the world right now got head-explodey, I would squee in joy. ^_^

That wouldn't happen. If Satan would repent, then Hell would cease to exist and we wouldn't sin anymore.

I guess it is a matter of free will, same as for the rest of us.
If you believe we are all redeemable then Satan would be too.
Personally, I have always wished I could have saved Christ from Crucifixion more than Satan from damnation. In any case good and evil will always have opposite poles, so it is more a philosophical question than a religious one.

that sounds great. I pray for him often, Lucifer was once a great angle of GOD's and if He would truley repent then the sins will stop. We should all pray for lucifer in hopes of a better world. I think it should be the hardest task GOD could bestow on anyone.GOD will know the truth. But i Believe this will never happen.

no why would you want that?
don't you think that without the "dark one" preaching good would be a little ... how do i put it... useless?
and... if he gets back there... then everybody will... cause no one has ever done something that bad as he did... right?
then the "promised kingdom of heaven" will be available to everybody... good or bad... then it wouldn't matter if you're a "good christian" or the biggest sinner on earth...
well... i changed my mind... i want him to do that and go to heaven cause then i'll go there for sure...
:D
