It doesn't. Or shouldn't. You may get judged by people, but as long as the two of you treat each other well and respect each other, then there is absolutely nothing wrong with a simple age difference.

Honey, be more specific? Because some men are predators. They like to prey on young women to control and mess with their minds!!!!!! You see, the older you are the more life experience you have. Sometimes young people really don't understand all that. I married someone ten years my senior, but now we are divorced. One thing my lawyer said that made sense was what I had said earlier in this response, "predator". Maturity is an issue. No matter what age some people never mature. Think about what you really want to put up with and why this person wants to date someone so young. Weigh out all the facts then make a decision on age. When you hit 30 age doesn't even matter. Plus, I won't date anybody 5 to 3 years younger than myself because I don't have time to train!!!! Holla

Once you are 18, the law no longer has any say in who is "appropriate" for you to date; your only concern is what others around you will think when you are seen in public as a couple. Your parents and/or family might have some opinions, as well.
Regardless of the chemistry you have with someone, people will form their own conclusions based on society's average morals of the time.
Get along great with a 40yr old? fine. Date a 50yr old? fine. If you don't care, nothing else matters. If getting stared at bothers you, you might want to consider that when meeting people.

This is truely up to you and your lover. It's not really anybody else's business! In other words do what makes you happy, and don't listen to anyone else, especially if you never asked them for their opinion!
