Old ladies who are the 'matchmaker type' are also usually the 'look at me!' type as well. They need constant attention(its annoying) and by setting you up or prying into your private life... they're getting attention.
lets face it any adult in their right mind knows better than to go meddle in your personal life. BUT these types need something frivolous to brag about to their other boring, attention seeking, co- dependent old lady friends.

They were born in an age when marriage was necessary for survival. Now they can't let go of the past. They're the ones who always ask, "So when are you getting married?" instead of, "How have things at work been?" or "Are you enjoying that new apartment you just bought?"

Ha yeah, for some reason they think that they know what is good for you. Which they kinda do if they're your granny or something. We should start playing that game with them!!!!
