Does anyone know why my dog always tips over his bowl so the dry food falls out, then eats the food off the floor?

Please keep in mind he's an animal. It's instinct that tells him to make sure it's dead before he eats it. Most dogs trust their families and eat whatever is provided. This guy just wants to make sure... It's no big deal.

I once fostered a dog whom grabed a mouth full of kibble from the bowl and drop it on the floor to be eaten once at a time.

Dogs are strange

Some dogs are just weird. My mom's dog takes a bite of kibble out of the dish, takes it into the living room, puts it on the carpet, then eats it. Then goes back for the next bite. On the bright side... I guess she's working off the calories faster. :)

It's just the way he likes it, my dog puts her paw in her bowl and pulls one piece of food out at a time, puts it on her rug, then eats it, then starts all over again. She doesn't like putting her face in the bowl....

Some dogs are weird.

I have one that will get a mouthful and take it in another room. He will even get a mouthful and take it to other dogs in another room.

The good thing is at least he's not food aggressive. Let him do it however it pleases him/

lol I don't know why they do that! You can use raised food bowls to prevent this.
