I wear glasses and contacts and lately my eyes are very red and veiny. They don't itch or burn, they are just red. I stopped wearing my contacts as much, however, it has made no difference. I went to the eye doctor and they said there is nothing they can do and that I have dead cells on my eyes. They gave me systane drops but they didnt work. Visine does not work either. I do work at a computer, however, I have been for years and this just started a few months ago. I am a very healthy person as well. I exercise 5 times a week and eat very healthy.

When you mentioned that you exercised 5 times a week......do you think you have any environmental allergies from the outside? That would cause redness in your eyes. An Eye, Nose and Throat doctor could help you there. And, are you around smoking very much? That has a contributing factor.
Good luck in finding out...

Well, when I first read your question without reading the rest, my first response was going to be, "What drugs are you on?" But you seem like you are on the up and up. So, my second thought was maybe allergies, but you said they don't itch. It probably is just downright eye strain from working at a computer. How about your blood pressure, is it high? Sorry, I'm a nurse, but not all-knowing. LOL

Have the correct distance between screen and your eys. I propose that you install a screen filter and adjust the brightness. You should wear glasses when you are working. Drink a lot water this helps to drain your eys from dead cells and is overall very healthy

Did you go to an optometrist or ophthalmologist? I work for a ophthalmology practice, and it sounds like you may have allergy eye's, or dry eye syndrome. If you are not getting resolution to your problem with your doctor, then I would suggest that you switch doctors.

I had this happen to me 2 years ago---I was dx'd w/
inflammatory eye disease. Could be scleritis, uveitis, or idiopathic.
Usually, as was my case, this indicates autoimmune problem. Good Luck.

maybe you have allergies? try some allergy medicine and see if it helps.
maybe you wear new make-up? try something diffrent or don't put it on for few days, maybe you're allergic to the make up?
I hope you'll get better.
