both boards are better!

im an icse student. im currently giving my icse boards . i have a brother who has passed out from cbse and most of my family have done cbse. therefor i have a fairly good knowledge of both boards. both cbse and icse have their pros and cons. according to me it realy depends on what you want to do after school till 8th grade i does not realy matter which board ure giving. however by ninth grade it is better to have a clear idea. the good thing about icse is dat they give equal importance to all subjects. there is no 'easier subject'. it may happen that one might find history more difficult that science or the other way round. however this is usually because you have an aptitude for one subject and do not have the skill to do the other. Also icse english is tougher and more vast. we have shakespeare, pros and poems, all of which are equally difficult. i would say that our normal english is about the same callibre as dat of cbse. i know because my brother found icse english very tough whereas he got a 90% in in cbse english. the point is that icse is better bacause it gives u better education for lines connected to commerce and humanities. they also offer a wide range of subjects in the 'group 3' subject such as art applications, p.e., economics, computers, commerce etc. i am looking at architecture and design line which is why i have taken art which will help me in building and impressive portfolio. icse science is also MUCH tougher than cbse science. the only thing is that it would take more sense to take cbse for it science course is you want to be an engineer or doctor etc. this is because alot of the things they teach may not be necessary and also may not be in the same pattern.

ICSE board examinations has objective questions which make a student completely thorough with the subject matter and even its syllabus is up-to mark of entrance examinations so its an obvious sort of preparation.whereas CBSE board exams has mostly sub's ques which as known are just a dump of answers.and even its syllabus is quite diff. from that of entrance exams.nextly, in icse the science practicals start from 10th std.so if a student opts for science ,its not a mess for him to get on with the compulsory practicals in 11th and 12th whereas in cbse its not such

dude CBSE is better cause you will get the Board all over India u won't find much ICSE schoolz all over INDIA.
1 thing as 1 of mine frnd told tht ICSE is better for Admis/ is just wrong i don't think so i have studied in CBSE you can achive every thing and there are so many Biggees from CBSE .....

icse syllabus is unnecessarily exhaustive & the examination papers are also strictly corrected. cbse is more easy-going & suits a good school life.
but more than either, the school & it's culture has far more significance than the board alone.

Both are good in their respective field. U want to pursue ur carrier in medical or engineering then CBSE is better choice. If u want to pursue ur carrier in admnistrative job then Icse is better than CBSE.

if you are in the same board from std 1 to std 12 all boards are equally good.
