A gay San Franciso supervisor (counsilman)who was assassinated by former police officer and SF supervisor Danel White in the autumn of 1978 along with Mayor George Musconi. White used what became known as the infamous "Twinke Defense" which caused the gays of SF to storm the city hall in angry protest.

Former San Francisco councilman, not mayor. he and the mayor, George Moscone, were shot and killed in 1978 by Dan White. Milk was the first openly gay person on council.

Mayor of SF....was shot and killed. One other guy was shot too.
Person who killed him( I have forgotten his name).....claimed to have been high on twinkies or something when he killed him......the now infamous "Twinkie" defense.
Only in SF!...LOL
