Nothing - As long as one really is a Christian.

Christianity has a bad name because of the actions of many who style themselves "Christian."

“What do you think? A man had two children. Going up to the first, he said, ‘Child, go work today in the vineyard.’ In answer this one said, ‘I will, sir,’ but did not go out. Approaching the second, he said the same. In reply this one said, ‘I will not.’ Afterwards he felt regret and went out. Which of the two did the will of his father?” They said: “The latter.” Jesus said to them: “Truly I say to you that the tax collectors and the harlots are going ahead of you into the kingdom of God.—Matthew 21:28—31.

“For the hearers of law are not the ones righteous before God, but the doers of law will be declared righteous.” (Romans 2:13)

“However, become doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves with false reasoning.” (James 1:22)

“For this is what the love of God means, that we observe his commandments; and yet his commandments are not burdensome,” (1 John 5:3)

Nothing is wrong with being christian just as there is nothing wrong with being atheist. It is just that Christians think they have the only answer in existence when most of what you have read and believe from the bible is myth. And then you try and shove it down the throats of everyone else because you believe it is the word of God. Find the true word of God - go to a bible study session rather than a bible regurgitation session and then confront the atheists.

The same thing that's wrong with being 30 years old and still believing in Santa Claus.

It's one thing to believe in Santa when you're a child -- it's comforting and heartwarming to imagine the world is a place where the good are rewarded and the wicked punished, where there's magic in the air and miracles on every street corner, and where your heart's desire can be had for the asking.

But as we get older, we grow to acknowledge the simple fact that there is no magic, and that it's not some jolly old elf who lets you know you are loved by dropping presents in your stocking -- it's us, only us, your friends and family, your fellow human beings who are letting you know you are loved and cherished.

In a like vein, there is no Invisible Sky Daddy™ watching out for you and who wants to see you happy and fulfilled.

All we have is each other.

It's funny, though; because it turns out that having each other to rely on is enough....

This is either a question to spark a debate and tell me why it is wrong to be a Christian in your opinion or you are feeling persecuted being a Christian yourself. (sorry to be so cynical but I have learned my lesson answering religious questions on-line)

In saying this my answer would be: Nothing is wrong with it. What is wrong is judgment from Christians and non-Christians. Christianity is to be Christ like and Christ was like . . . . . . well no one was alive at the time . . . . but in a word . . . . . Love.

So depending on your intentions as to questioning what is wrong with being a Christian the question would need to be elaborated to truly be answered.

There is nothing wrong with being a Christian. Jesus said that you are not of this world and that is why this world hates you. The only regret I have, is that I did not become a "Born Again" Christian sooner!

Nothing is wrong with it. Christianity is a peaceful religion. The message of Jesus is Love.
Don't get confused by Non-believers or ppl of other Religions on here asking questions they don't want answered anyway.
This is not the place to have serious talks about religion. Its all about calling each other names and mocking.

Nothing.

It's the people who claim to be Christian, then try to influence the country as Christians instead of Citizens of that Country, without self-thought, that are a problem.

I seem to remember Jesus saying something about, "Render unto Caesar what is Caesar's, and render unto God what is God's." The USA needs and requires of its people impartial but thoughtful voting, and far too many 'Christians' forget their messiah's teachings and vote biasedly and without genuine thought.

Real Christians are great. I'm a gay guy and my christian friends know I know that Christianity doesn't support homosexual behavior, so they don't feel obliged to point it out. They know I'm an atheist, but they know I know what Christianity is and is about, and often come to ME for help understanding passages, and I teach sincerely and with hope to help deepen their faith even though I don't agree with it. So they see no reason to try to convert me. They accept that I have my way and they have theirs. The only witnessing they do is living their life as best as they can by their religion, and in that, I support and encourage them to the best of my ability.

Hey, I'm a Christian and there's nothing seriously wrong with me. God didn't make Christians perfect.
