Put him back to bed.
Both my kids started going to bed at 8pm EVERY night when they started eating solids. The both sleep strait through to 7am. My son (10 months) takes 2 two hour naps during the day and my daughter (4 1/2) no longer needs the nap. But up until this point she napped for 2 hours after lunch.
Try making nap time earlier in the day and make bed time later. GOOD LUCK

i wouldnt suggest a later bed time as 1) thats your time to relax !! 2) also your son will get tired and frustrated if he is used to sleeping. my 2 year old was the same. unfortunatley it can be a battle their is no easy answer. we basically ensured the afternoon nap was only 30 mins - hour no matter what. and in the morning kept returning them to bed when they woke until around 7 ish. when i get up anyway. winter is a good time as its dark in the am. it took about 2-3 weeks of putting up with the screaming and crying etc etc - sure you know ! and now she goes bed 7 - 7.30 and wakes at 7+ each morning. some days she doesnt even nap in the afternoon anymore. each child is different so i hope someones answer on here givesyou inspiration to get a few hours more in bed ! good luck

Later bedtimes is a myth!!! Putting your son to bed later will make him get up EARLIER. Happened with both my kids. I would try either shortening his naps, three hours for a nap is a really long time. Or cut out his naps altogether. But 7-730 bedtime sounds just fine.
My son has never napped and he's almost three. He usualy goes to bed around 8 though there are days when I out him to bed at 7 if he's cranky.

Try cutting out the afternoon nap and keep him up till around 8 pm. He should stay asleep longer in the morning. He may actually be getting all the sleep his body needs by taking such a long nap then going back to bed just a few hours later.....Good Luck !!!!

My son went through that, I broke him though when he was still in his crib. Usually if he cant get out I would try not jumping out of bed and going to him give him about 15 minutes to go back to sleep. I couldnt wait any longer than that myself. Crying wont hurt him so just give it a try. It will hurt you ,but in the long run it will work out. By the way 7 is way too early try 830 with no longer than an hour and a half nap.

I would change his bedtime to 8:00 with a nap no longer than 2 hours.

Try to put him to bed later than 8. I find the later the kid goes to bed, the later they'll stay sleeping. Try it for a week or so, and if it doesn't woke, try talking to your doctor, maybe he can help.

Yes ...go in there at 4:30 and be very firm and tell him it is still bed time and not time to get up yet . Also what works is you get an alarm clock and set it for 6:00 am or 6:30. am and tell him he is not allowed to get out of bed until the alarm clock goes off that one works very well...Good Luck

later bed times, are what you need to do. It may take a few tries, but eight is a better bed time. Just wear him out alot right before bed, and mabey give him a bath before also this will help him relax. good luck
