there is this guy who bartends at the corner bar i go to about once or twice a month.I actually met him about 4 months ago.We seemed to have a mutual attraction,so by the end of the night a friend of the both of ours said"you two should exchange numbers"so i gave him my card(i cut hair)in case he ever wanted a haircut,he said"what if i dont need a haircut and i just want to call you?"so i gave him my # aso.that night i went to a friends house,he is freinds with the person also and found out i was there and cameover.i crashed on thecouch,him on the floor.he drove me to my the car thenext mornign,and i left things casual with"see you soon".he nevercalled.Whenever i go into the bar he says hi right away,givesme free drinks,gets bothered when guys talk to me,referredto me ashis 'girlfriend'oncewhen his freindwastryingtoget my#.He yelled"i love you"once when i left,but i kept walking.what is he doing?why wont he call?

I think you did everything right. However I'm not sure why he isn't calling you. There is only one sure way to find out. Don't act upset or anything, just next time you see him, wait for the right time and ask him straight up," How come you never called me? I was excited..." Or something to that effect. Say it in a playful and joking way too. See his response.

I am a firm believer in that book, "he is just not into you" by the writers of "Sex and the City." If you didn't call then he is just not into you for a "relationship". Think about it...he had your number and he never called. If for some reason he lost your number wouldn't he have already asked for your number again by now?
Now for things like, free drinks and being friendly and calling you his girlfriend...it sounds like he likes you and feels comfortable around you to goof about and be playful with you but that's it. Perhaps you could be a friend with benefits to him but I don't see it getting anymore serious then that. It is what it is...don't read more into this...

2 things you can do. #1. just ask him "did you lose my #?" Maybe he will get the hint! #2. If you don't even want to bother because the guy is whacked then just let it go to just play and find someone who will actually call!

it sounds like to me that you just need to call him or go to the bar tell you want to talk and just ask him and go from there
