I think there will always be organized religion of some sort, until the day comes when humans can answer all questions about the origin of life. I think that government-sponsored killing in the name of religion will never stop because religion is power over the people. Religion can be used to get people to do certain things in God's name, unknowingly fulfilling a political agenda.
Even scientific theory is organized religion in a sense, even though it is based on many more facts than Christianity. Science even has different denominations, so to speak. There are different theories for different things, and each theory is based on different interpretations of facts. For now I believe in science and all its facts, and I believe some theories based on those facts.
As far as the "retarded beliefs" as you call them...come on now. There are better ways of stating that. I do not believe in the virgin birth, nor do I believe that a whale swallowed a man then spit him back out alive. I do not believe these things because of the factual evidence against them. For example, the stomach acid in the whale would have killed Noah.

You can hardly call science science, can you? You could better call it experience. They called the earth flat sometime ago. And everybody thought they were right, at that time. They said that smoking did not do any harm to peoples lungs!
And at first, everybody believed them also. We now know otherwise!! What will be the next lie, they will tell us all? Science is still so very poorly, the instruments they have today, can proof but a little bit of the existing Truth. For instance pictures of auras! There is only one truth and that is this: If the world is created by a god, all human beings are, despite of what we all believe in. And if we are in a process of evolution, we all are, despite of what we all believe in. And very slowly scientists will begin to discover little bits and pieces about the real Truth, when their equipment is ready for it. And when they can put their little ego's aside. And that will take a very long way to go.

There are more and more people thinking like you (including myself), because we've come SO far in the way of scientific discoveries; eventually, there will be so much proof that we evolved on this Earth, religions will collapse.
I was just watching a program on the Science Channel last night, and they were microscopically dissecting the human genome and DNA, as well as DNA from various animals... well, they've discovered that we ALL (humans and animals) stemmed from the same DNA.. we're different only because of mutations in the basic DNA structure. So that means, the retarded story of a Godlike being coming down from nowhere and creating humans and animals out of the thin air is obviously FALSE. Every animal, and everyone on Earth evolved from the same microscopic beings. This is now PROOF based on FACT.
Religion is for the weak, who need guidelines to live by, like you shouldn't have enough damn common sense to not kill someone without having religion???
Science is for the intelligent people, who side with FACT and PROOF, and don't believe in stories that are so obviously BS, it's not even funny.

How many errors are in your short paragraph.
1) ALL organizations are myths - generalization not based on
fact. Strictly closed minded opinion.
2) Killings are done for many reasons most of which revolve
around greed and selfishness; both traits that are reviled by
most religions.
3) All of the advances in technology and science have not
swayed how we perceive the world or religion. 4000 years
ago their were atheists and deists fighting over the same
things that we are fighting over now. And science and
technology have served to provide many more questions than
they have answered.
4) You state that no one is allowed to answer with "faith"... how
closed minded. Yet, for some reason, you are allowed to
tell us to have faith... how hypocritical
5) Have faith in yourself and fellow human beings? Take a good
look around you. Global warming, poverty, homelessness,
murder, abandoned children, abortion, crime....
I have faith in my fellow human beings to continue to be the
selfish, self-centered, self-destructive creatures that they
have been since Adam and Eve left the garden.
You, I suspect, will continue to be closed and narrow minded not seeing the world for what it really is but rather continue to live in the fantasy of the religion of humanism.
Good luck with that... you'll need it.

religion has always beena round. some explaination for everythigng. without it their would be chaos. you haev to think you are living for something bigger. I agree everyone should see their is a common theme, to be good pople and protect, but i think the hate among groups makes it easier to say forget it organized religion instead of saying, lets keep the peace. And honestly, can you imagine what would happen if people didnt think thay had to do good for some larger purpose? no one would be nice and it would be miserable. more so than now. its biter sweet. no middle ground. it is what it is.

Even in the best of times I can remember falling short on occasion when I count on myself or others completely. If all organized religions were myths then documents that confirm the existence of Jesus, Mohamed, etc would be false. Wouldn't that make trusting my follow human beings a bit flawed?

Many people aren't equipped to handle life without religious faith. Some don't believe in themselves enough to tap into inner strength; they are more comfortable believing they get strength from a divine father or saint. I think those who need religion should be free to have it -- as long as they don't impose religion-based restrictions on others.

when will people realize that technology is not perfect because it is man made.technology is bull****. i bought a computer 2 years ago and it broke and then i had to buy another one. am i soppose to have faith in all this bull****. i will never have faith in material things. just because u can't see it doesn't mean its there.
how many people go to prison because all the evidence is there than years later DNA evidence sets them free. things are not as they appear to be.
as for science, science hasn't proved anything.
u need faith

If you can solve the t=0 problem, then maybe, just maybe you might be on to something.
But until then, as everyone with an analytical mind knows, evidence is not proof, and lack of evidence does not disprove.

You know how I know that Christianity is real? Because marxists spend so much effort trying to convince people otherwise. Since their crimes are heinous beyond belief (hundreds of millions of people cruelly put to death for little more than amusements sake in a short two generation time span), they are clearly satanic in origin. And what do satanic people do? They oppose anything that leads you toward the truth about God.
If Christianity wasn't the real deal, they wouldn't care. If it was a "myth" then it wouldn't be relevant to their evil designs. Interesting that they could care less about Islam, btw.
