I have been single for quite a few months, my choice, but now I am regretting not dating for so long, I was really disappointed in the last guy I was with and wasn't willing to put my heart back up for display yet, so now I find myself awfully lonely and sad this holiday season. Should I accept a date just so not to be alone,?

It's definitely harder to be single during the holidays.

You might as well accept a date because it's often good to get some new stimulation in your life, especially when you're feeling low. But try not to expect anything from the date beyond finding it interesting to get to know another person a little better.

It is harder if you don't have family to draw your focus away from being lonely. I have been single since Dec 2000, the last guy really did a number and trust is a big issue with me. I have family that has my focus 24/7. When I speak with friends who are dating, they maybe having issues about what family home are they going to for the holidays. I am glad I am single.

I wouldn't. It's better to be alone than in bad company. Plan a few get-togethers with your friends or make a trip to see someone you haven't in a long time. It'll pick you up and you'll enjoy the planning and anticipation. Don't forget to buy yourself a special Christmas gift! I used to treat myself to a ring every November and I'd wear it through the entire month of December. I have a few in my collection.... :-)

It is not harder because you are free to flirt with whoever you want, you are not obligated to one person/But if you are feeling that lonely you can accept to date with that guy and see how things are going!Good luck with your plans!

HELL NO ITS NOT HARDER, do you have any idea how much an average guy spends on his GF for the holidays? look for "the love of your life" after the Holidays, during them just look for the hott chick drinking to much "egg nog" you'll have fun

I think yeah it does suck at the holidays by yourself. I don't see why not, get a date. Enjoy the holidays.

no, you will only be more miserable because accepting a date for the wrong reasons won't make you feel less lonely. Try surrounding yourself with your family, friends, etc.
