This is actually a serious question. I have had some Christians answer my questions and associate me with evil because of my name. Yeah, I know another dragon subject. Hey, it is my thing.

The only reason I think of is how the dragon is portrayed in the Bible. The whole Satan/dragon thing I guess. Believe it or not this happens quite a bit to me in real life. I wear a dragon pendant and dragon ring.

The Latin word for a dragon, draco, actually means snake or serpent. The Medieval Biblical interpretation of the Devil being associated with the serpent who tempted Adam and Eve, thus gave a snake-like dragon connotations of evil. Generally speaking, Biblical literature itself did not portray this association (save for the Book of Revelation)
However, some say that dragons were good, before they fell, as humans did. Also contributing to the good dragon argument in Christianity is the fact that, if they did exist, they were created as were any other creature.
I'm a Christian and have had other Christians tell my son his hoodie with a dragon on it is evil so I hear ya.

Dragons are not evil for they are animals and animals don't have a sin nature like humans do. Romans 5: 12 Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned: The reason people associate dragons as being evil is because Saan is called a great dragon. Revelation 12: 9 And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him.

That is just down right stupid. What does a dragon have to do with being evil in the first place? They are a myth like a unicorn. Sometimes I think some people can get a little to fanatic about things. I consider myself christian, and I really do not understand this. Is there something you haven`t told us?

I don't think dragons in themselves are evil- I believe they are based on animals that truly existed at one time.
I think it depends on what you believe about dragons. Some people like them and collect them tastefully- others associate them with magic and witchcraft and ideas that are evil- that is where there is a problem - also having an unhealthy obsession with them is a problem, but that is no different than people that collect (and basically worship) 50,000 pigs or cows or elephants or whatever.

I had this problem to and still do sometimes. especially the dragon In revelations. I adked my pastor and dad thid and they said that the one in revelations was like a figureism. Dragons are also mentioned in psalm ancnd in other chapters. U have to remeber that dragons are animals like cats and dogs. They cant be evil cause thats not hoehow God made them

Haha, maybe they fear dragons because of the Carl Sagan analogy "The Dragon In My Garage" --- let me see if I can find a link.
