Hate is like a cancer, or a noxious weed. If you allow even a tiny bit into your mind it is going to grow and the tentacles will eventually get into every aspect of your life. It takes a conscious effort to decide that you will not let hate live in your mind. You have to rip it out by the roots.
We are all capable of love but I think it usually takes a little more nurturing in order to give freely to all. We have to make the effort to give generously of our time and of our heart.
Love as a beautiful gift from God that we choose to nurture. But if you think of hate like a weed you can see why it would be impossible to nurture love if you let any kind of hate live in your mind.

because when a person acts hateful is is easier not to show them love. I am not saying this is the right way to act, but this is why it is easier, in my opinion.

People tend to be insecure and selfish...as well as self centered. They think they are right and therefore others must be wrong.
Learning to love people that are different takes dedication and decision making - its not a natural process even for nice people.

sorry, I don't know the answer to your question.
I think that some people enjoy hating other people. It makes them feel better about themselves because they can say to themselves "I'm so much better than those idiots".

Hating is easier.
Love requires that we look beyond the things we might dislike.
That's how God can love us. He loves the unloveable.

Hate is the instinct of self-defense, to love another is to expose your truest weakness, the weakness we all share that is compassion. To show love to all would expose weakness to those few despicables that would rob you (or worse)

hate is epitomized by taking, love by giving. Generally speaking, people would rather take than give.
