No shampoo or oil or anything you put ON your hair will affect it's growth cycle or strength or length. The only chance you have to influence how hair grows is by taking supplements that work with your body's chemistry to support healthy hair growth. Once the hair has grown out and is outside the scalp...it is just dead keratin tissue and nothing will change it's structure. Conditioners and shampoos can coat the hair with waxy coatings that make the hair appear shiny, but they cannot change the chemical composition of the hair, that can only take place with systemic supplementation........IE taking hair vitamins...this is all scientific fact.
I have been taking hair supplements for the past 3 years and here is what I have found.
GNC makes a tablet called "Ultra Nourishair" in formulas for men and women, the pills are taken daily, 2 pills a day. They are HUGE and very hard to swallow, if you have any trouble at all with large tablets, then I wouldn't recommend these. The 2 pills also contain only 1200 micrograms total of Biotin, which is the main supplement needed for hair to grow faster and stronger. You should try to get a minimum of 2500 micrograms of Biotin daily to improve hair's rate of growth and its condition. Even though I took these GNC pills for 4 months, I wouldn't recommend them because they are not the most high quality pills available.
ProCaps labs makes a great supplement called "Hair Skin and Nails" formula, here is the link for that
http://www.procapslabs.com/pcl/pages/pro...
This is in capsule form and much easier to swallow. This company, ProCaps labs is also extremely reputable and carries pure and effective products.
I took GNC's Nourishair for four months, and supplemented it with extra Biotin tablets daily due to its low Biotin content. I took 2500 micrograms extra Biotin with the GNC pills.
The Procaps hair vites have 2500 micrograms of Biotin in them, and don't really require extra Biotin be taken, but I do take an additional 2500 micrograms of Biotin for a daily total of 5000 micrograms of Biotin.
My hair is growing in thick and dark and quite quickly. My hair used to be very slow growing, but all of these supplements have really made a difference.
The only way to really change the health of your hair is by taking supplements that work internally on the follicle where hair is made, any shampoos or oils or other topically applied things do nothing to change hair's structure, that can only happen with systemically provided support, which means supplements that you take internally.. Keep in mind, regardless of how many or how much you take of any supplement, hair is never going to grow at a "Jack and the beanstalk" type of rate, the most you can hope for is to improve the strength and health of each hair follicle and to see an incremental increase in the rate of its growth

Hello, I used to have the same problem, but after these tips my hair grew tremendously! First off, be sure to get a shampoo and conditioner that enhances hair growth (such as Main n' Tail shampoo and conditioner). Also, before you wash your hair soak it in extra-virgin olive oil for 30 minutes-60 minutes and then wash the olive oil out with your shampoo and conditioner. The olive oil will keep your hair healthy, thus helping it grow. Biotin is a great vitamin that you can purchase at any drugstore and it will enhance hair growth and nail growth (plus it's only about $3 and lasts a LONG time). Also, do NOT trim off dead ends every month, people always say to do that, but if you keep doing that your hair will never grow; it will always be the same length! So instead get your dead ends trimmed off every 6 months. At any time during the day massage your scalp to increase blood flow which will increase hair growth (it's also a good idea to massage your head while shampooing your hair). Besides that, just make sure to not put any unnecessary heat on your head (straighteners, hair blow dryers, curling irons). Eat healthy (lots of protein, vegetables, fruit), drink plenty of water, and exercise lots! Hope I helped & best of luck. :)

The hair is not just a part of your body and it is a symbol of beauty, status and health. It is important for you to take proper care of your health in order to prevent early hair loss. Learn here https://bitly.im/aL9Wa It is not a very serious problem and with a little bit of caution you will be able to prevent further hair loss. There are certain uncontrollable factors like pregnancy conditions or certain illness or genetic factors that will result in hair loss. But, this does not mean that you cannot do something about your hair loss.

Its a myth... babies hair does grow faster than adults but not because of the shampoo, you have the type of hair you have because of genetics, not shampoo! You can change the look of your hair with some chemicals though, try the hair salon if your looking for a change!

No. I use baby shampoo because I have a sensitive scalp. It will not change the texture or promote the growth of your hair.

no. actually no shampoo will make your hair better. your hair is dead. the follicles from which you hair grows is not dead, but the actual hair itself is. so using some $20 shampoo would be the exact same as using body soap. so when the commercials say to buy their product because they use all these weird ingredients, it doesn't really matter.

No, it's horrible for your hair. When it says that it's gentle, it means it's gentle for your eyes so you don't have to worry about it irritating children's eyes. In order to do that, they put in a lot of chemicals that are horrible for your hair.

Not really, but its more gentle with less abrasive chemicals and so generally better for hair.
