my tomtom wont start wen i hold the buton down, but wen i cahrcge it the light comes on!

Press the tiny reset button with a paperclip. Sort everything...
TomTom's freeze a LOT - get used to it!!

is it getting the signal ok, I used to park in an underground garage & had to drive out first, then pull over & enter details before it would understand anything !!?
If it's just not coming on at all I guess there's something else wrong so back to the shop/check guarantee etc .... good luck

try the reset button on the base i had this problem and the guy at halfords said this would work and it did use a pin for this hope this works

how old is it. I had one which was like that straight out the box. I took it back to the shop and got a navman instead.
