i own a repair shop,and right now the grand vitara is a better deal than the rav-4 is,and i think you,d have less problems with it also,right now the rav-4,s are giving a lot of trouble ,i get them in my shop for repair all the time,and some of it is covered by warranty ,and some things aren't,,they just seem to be giving a lot of small problems ,and that's not good i think id go with the vitara,for a better vehicle,,good luck,i hope this help,s.

Rav4. Its way better than the Grand Vitara. You will have an option for a V6 on the RAV4 (grand vitara only has 1 engine and its less powerful than the V6) RAV4's 4 wheel drive is full time and Grand Vitara's is part time.
Get the RAV4. Its the best choice.

Maybe you should get insurange quotes for both trucks and see if their is a significant difference in the premiums. And gas mileage too may be a budget buster. Toyotas have good reputation, I don't know about Suzuki's.
Might also want to check Edmunds or Kelly Blue Book for resale values.
