Greg R - so you probably think we shouldn't have entered WWII either. A lot more soliers died in that war than in Iraq. The trouble with people like you is that you can't see beyond the obvious, plus, you apparently haven't been around long enough to learn from history. Yes people are dying. Yes, it's getting worse there - Rumsfeld said it would get worse before it got better. No, being a pacifist isn't the best defense or the most patriotic thing you can do for your country. Enlist? Heck yeah, but I'm too old.

The U.N is a bunch of wimps. Too much of Her Majesty's influence.

HarryRightGuy - This is what the U.N.'s declaration says - "Whereas disregard and contempt for human rights have resulted in barbarous acts which have outraged the conscience of mankind, and the advent of a world in which human beings shall enjoy freedom of speech and belief and freedom from fear and want has been proclaimed as the highest aspiration of the common people,
Whereas it is essential, if man is not to be compelled to have recourse, as a last resort, to rebellion against tyranny and oppression, that human rights should be protected by the rule of law". So what's your point? According to this, the U.S. is doing you and Iraq a favor.

Oh God!!! You people make me freakin' sick!!!
Ok...Iraq in on the verge of imploding as we speak. Do you not realize the impact the US Forces are having right now? If we pulled out this very second a whole lot more "innocent" people would be blown to bits by their country men. We're traning Iraqi Police and Iraqi National Guard so that maybe they will become strong enough to protect their own country. We're rebuilding schools and providing medical aide to the sick and wounded. Just because you watch the news does not mean that you are in any way, shape or form "enlightened" to what's really going on. Have you ever heard the phrase, "News is only good when it's bad"? No? Well pay attention, because the only time Iraq is in the news is when someone dies or someone f*cks up.
As for the US soldiers who have died- They Enlisted!! We have an all volunteer army folks. No one forced us to join! No one was holding a gun to my mothers head when I signed that dotted line. We all know the risks of joining the military and if some one tells you different they're a God D@mn liar! Don't cry for us. We don't want your scorn or pity. Just say "thank you" and be on your way.
Oh you support the troops you say? You don't want any more of us to die you say? News flash! If we pulled out now it would be a slap in the face to those of us who have ALREADY made the ultimate sacrifice. It would be like telling those who were killed or mutilated that it was all for nothing!!! They laid down their lives for nothing!!!
Screw you people and your yellow bellied, liberal, bull$hit.

Pulling out will not benefit the Iraqi people.
Staying is just compounding the problems for the US by giving the terrorists a rally flag in the form of a legitimate example of the US invading and occupying a Muslim country with out a legitimate reason and setting up a puppet regime.
You cannot win a war in which you cannot tell the hostiles from the friendlies until you are already being shot at.

Read the United Nation's "Universal Declaration of Human Rights" at www.un.org
It is the legacy of WW2 and is a road map to avoiding war (like in the 3rd "Whereas" in the preamble to the declaration).
This document was drafted by Canadian John Peters Humphrey and pushed through the U.N. in 1948 by the American representatives to the U.N..
Your country is in Iraq because your ultra right wingers are actively against large parts of the declaration but don't step up and remove their support openly at the U.N..
Remember, an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure (or hundreds of pounds of "bomb cure" in this case).

the shown truth that you went there is proper u.s. and Britain have set a volatile precedent by going to warfare with a us of a without starting up. This state of affairs might want to take position again, everywhere contained in the international. As for what might want to take position if the troops withdrew, The shiite and sunni factions might want to slaughter each and each and every, with the intention to achieve administration, untold numbers of lifeless. an rather vicious civil warfare. Iran might want to take aspects with one or the different. yet a minimum of that is going to likely be Iraqi adverse to Iraqi, it really is the way it would want to be politically in an election concern. those people have primitive thoughts on how potential must be received, ie, violence. I say enable them get on with it. that is after all, their soil.

It will not benefit Iraq or the USA. It will benefit Iran, Syria, China, North Korea, and all the Terrorists around Our Planet. The Democrats and their helpful Traitors will be responsible for the Deaths of Millions of People by their Stated Course of Actions.

We need to get the job done and go! We got Sadam and most of his family and the other guy is in the mountains so let him die there! It is getting worse and unlike the USA they train kids to blow up themselves so think about it? For every person we kill that is running around in a black jogging suit and a rag over there mouth. There are at least 30 kids in camp ready to attack us! They need to leave because it is only getting worse. They obviously don't want our help! We capture the man that was beating them with bamboo sticks and shooting them if they did not agree with him and in return they shoot us?

Are you going to enlist? I mean, if occupying a sovereign state against the will of the people is okay, shouldn't we be in Iran, Syria and North Korea as well? Pulling out benefits the US because soldiers will stop dying - is that too hard for you to understand? We are not in Iraq to make it a democracy, we are there to protect Israel ( whether that is right or wrong ) and to be nearby with 130,000 troops when it is time to attack Iran and Syria.

What's to be done with the 40 militiamen who were part of the Iraqi army and became traitors?

If you think the current course is the correct course...you are very mistaken.
Either give them the troops they wanted in the beginning to do the job right, or just get out entirely.
