Is it OK to have a flu shot when you are already sick?

I am sick of being well sick and they are administering FLU shots in my office, and I am sick. I was just wondering if I could still get one. Thanks ya'll for your help!

Don't bother. It will make you worse, and is a waste of time anyway.

If you are running a fever, I don't recommend getting the vaccine right now. Once over this cold or what ever you have, go to the health unit or your local MD and take the flu shot. Each flu season is getting worse and it effects the very young and the very old and those in poor health.

You might also consider taking the pneumonia vaccine which is available. I recommend it to anyone over age 30 and really push for those over 50.

I got my flu shot on Monday. The paper they gave me telling about it says if you are only mildly ill, you can still get the shot. If you are moderately or severely ill, do not get it.
The best thing you can do is to ask your doctor.
