It all depends. My husband was treated with the gamma knife procedure it is a one time procedure. Check into it good luck

All the answers you got are all true. I know that there are great hospitals in San Franciso,Ca and Houston, Tx. They both famous for Nero Centers. I joined the American Brain Tumor Society, they were of great help to me when my husband was diagnosed. If the tumor is small you might want to research the Gama Knief, a radiation tool that uses multiple low beams to target the tumor and sometimes eliminate it with out surgery.

It depends on so many factors that it's an impossible question to answer, eg:-

* depth and position of the tumour
* size of the tumour
* whether the tumour was cancerous (not ALL are) and if so, how aggressive the cancer was and what type it was
* how long the tumour had been there
* the age and health of the patient

I am not a doctor but everyone I have known with a brain tumor didn't make it. But, there were other cancers also associated with their death that caused the brain tumors.
