go to a doctor and ask. protein shouldn't be in the urine and can signify a number of problems.

Protein should not be in the urine. There are several reasons that protein can show up in the urine. Usually the molecule is too large to be excreted by the kidneys. Your doctor needs to be the one to answer this. If he is unable to, get a second opinion. Best wishes and take care.

I always thought protein in the urine was due to diabetes. But I'd sure check with the doctor!

If your doctor didnt tell you at the time of the visit, or on the phone with the results, you need to get a new doctor.
