Just wondering, I'm not Christian myself. Its just that I cant recall the last time I met a religious person (not including atheism), expect the Jehovah Witness that last came to see me.
Oh and I'm not saying that its a good thing if it is 'dying out' before anyone gets upset!

It is true that disrespect for God and Christ is becoming too common. However, Jehovah's Witnesses are working to help people to learn about the bible and appreciate the importance of true worship.
A common misconception is that Jehovah's Witnesses go from door-to-door because they feel it is their duty to get a householder to "repent" or "change his mind". In fact, Jehovah's Witnesses would go from door-to-door even if there were no hope that anyone would change their religion, or even if no one would listen to them!
That is because Jesus Christ specifically assigned the house-to-house ministry to the Christian congregation, with no regard for specific results.
(Luke 10:1,2) After these things the Lord designated seventy others and sent them forth by twos in advance of him into every city and place to which he himself was going to come. 2 Then he began to say to them: “The harvest, indeed, is great, but the workers are few. Therefore beg the Master of the harvest to send out workers into his harvest.
Jehovah's Witnesses are trained to direct attention to the bible, and move on when their message is unwanted. Since each congregation in the United States tries to call at every home in its territory at least twice each year, there is strong motivation for them to move on where little interest is shown. Also, the Scriptures help the Witnesses to expect little interest from most:
(2 Timothy 4:3-5) For there will be a period of time when they will not put up with the healthful teaching ...and they will turn their ears away from the truth, whereas they will be turned aside to false stories. You, though, keep your senses in all things, suffer evil, do the work of an evangelizer, fully accomplish your ministry.

I further my remark to the cases article some hours in the past. What seems to be a decline is greater of a winnowing of persons who attended church for the incorrect motives without needing a actual faith. Jesus estimated a time-honored falling away some 2 thousand years in the past: "in spite of the undeniable fact that, while the Son of guy comes, will He locate faith on earth?" (Luke 18:8). The e book of Revelation additionally depicts a grim situation of recalcitrance even in the mild of printed prophecy. plenty this is going on immediately is shown in the Bible -- yet all human beings is unaware of the apparent. while Our Lord returns -- as he will quickly -- scoffers would be shown to be incorrect. The Church conventional, some distance from loss of existence, will enter a sparkling part of life.

Religion -- ALL religion -- IS becoming weird in the Western World. Even among Islamics and Hindus, I'll wager their homeland people will think they've had too much MTV!
The Gods we seem to worship are Starbucks, Nike, Cable TV, HDTV, Mercedes, Lexus and clothing that have the name of the maker in large print and cost $$$$ -- like Gucci and Tommy Hellfinger! I'll wager any day now Tommy will market a line of Hajib!

A new Age is starting.
(Another thing about the UK, is that people have embraced the liberation of uncertainty. See, we can not prove the existence of any of the gods but cannot prove their non-existence either. Thanks to the amount of agnostics in th UK, the people of Britain seem to have found the liberation of uncertainty. Nothing is true, everything is permitted. If only people can see this in Ireland, USA, Israel and Mid East (even in the past if atheists in china could have understood this) there could be less oppressive philosophies and more liberating ones.

Church of England, Methodist and Catholic churches are seeing an exodus from the pews. The Catholic Church in Ireland has shown a dramatic fall in numbers.
Have they given up the faith or just taken it home rather than worship with the evermore fanatical "born again"?
I suspect that the majority are just too embarrassed by the antics of those following popularist ideas and the extremists and zealots.
The more the Christian zealots try and force their ideas on people the more people will leave the church.

Having difficulty finding religious people?
I take it you haven't been to the extremes there.
Out in the middle of the most rural areas there are still obsessive christians.... but as for the cities... they're now swarming with muslims.
Much as I hope christianity is indeed dying out here, it will be no better if it only ends up replaced with Islam.

Unfortunately Christianity is under attack all over the world. We as Christians expect this because we know The Truth. The UK is a very secular, socialist area. What happens when God is removed from everything and you are working for nothing is you lose your spirit. You have been led to believe that governments and royalty know what's best for you and not God. You, as a nation, have allowed others to define you instead of taking a stand and defining yourself.

Judging from the comment Dame Elton John made the other day, it sure sounds like it. Of course, it appears to be dying all over Europe too. They claim they are too "smart" to believe in any religion. Too bad. They will know the consequences.
