My doctor says that the pain in my shoulder is Tendonitis and I should just take some ibuprofen and it will go away - this was months ago! The pain is still there and I don't know what to do! I will try anything!!

If ice packs, hot packs, heat and pain killers do not decrease the pain in three weeks, it is time to see the doctor or another one.
When my husband had this, they had him place a hot pad on the area for 10 minutes and then stretch the tendon as much as he could take, increasing the stretches every day. It took 3 weeks and he was as good as new, but still has to do the stretching routine in the morning and at night.
Ibuprfen caused heartburn, so he switched to naproxium or coated apirin (which doesn't seem to affect his stomach?), but only when the pain was unbearable because his doctor said that once the swelling was gone the pain was a good indication of how much you should move the tendon. To keep mobility, you must use the tendon while it heals. Otherwise it will get stiff and cause other muscles and tendons to adapt in ways that may cause chronic pain.
Personal recommendation would be find anothre doctor more familiar with your injury or read up on the subject.

Ice packs. Tendonitis is a slow healing process. Up your Vitamin C and other antioxident intake to reduce inflammation.

Steroid injection would help but the problem in it may injure the tendon worse. After 3 months I'd go back and make sure it is not Bursitis.

Your doctor can give you a cortisone injection directly to the site of the pain to decrease the inflammation. Tendonitis tends to flare up from continued use or motion, like "tennis elbow". Take the anti inflammatories and if you double the dose of the over the counter ibuprophen you will be taking a prescription dose. Be sure to eat before doing that so it won't upset your stomach. Also apply heat with a heating pad at night (careful..cover it with a pillow case or towel so it won't burn your skin). I have found that using a pillow to elevate the arm slightly at night can really bring a good deal of relief...it takes the strain off of the shoulder muscles. Good hot steamy showers do wonders also. OH...so does a shot of vodka! Hope you feel better. If not go back to the doc or get another physician...godloveya.

Lots and lots of all natural Alfalfa Complex should help tremendously - it's helped others eliminate the pain.

Reaching as deep as 20 feet into the soil the roots of the alfalfa plant brings forth minerals in their most natural form. Alfalfa offers a wide range of nutrients: calcium, phosphorus, iron, magnesium, chlorophyll, bioflavonoids, trace minerals, and vitamins.

I personally use it regularly.

This particular brand is available on-line and feel free to contact me for the website or with questions.

I know what you're going through. I have found that putting a heating pad on it helps, also the heated pads that you put on and it stays in place with the sticky adhesive does wonders..you can find in any drug store....also you can try putting Vicks vapo rub on it at night,,,it helps,,,,if you can stand the smell...I also take Ibuprofen...it only helps for a little while and I have to take two...
