why should i go to hell if i cant find salvation?

i ask alot of questions,and instead of answers i get more questions......im not looking for insults, only answers......and nothing in my research gives me enough comfort to believe in heaven or hell or jesus......only a higher power.......so if i cant resolve this matter....then when i die why should i go to hell for something i cant believe in?......

There is no hell. Hell is a fabrication of the Church to scare people into subscribing to their religion. Let go of the fear, and live your life in a good, meaningful and compassionate way. Leave the Christians to their Hell.

Consider this, if you die and have two options one enter the light and expose yourself fully to god or avoid the light and be only around others who have to for obvious reasons, which could you do? I think it can come down to sense and what you do in this life. I am sure when Hitler reached the truth he didn't go into the light if he has it was probaly a very hard time. So I think some general logic of understanding and doing good won't hurt you. Also I am sure if you have a hard time finding faith it is understandable. I understand why some people are at church everyday yet others never are nor care much about it. Now if I can understand why I am sure so does God.

There is no absolute rule to that.

If YOU lead a great life and someone "with" salvation, say Haggard or Jim Bakker or Jimmy Swagart, isn't LET into heaven, you might be!

You really think GOD wants PHONIES in heaven!

But you gotta be a good person, the rest is between you and God.

I completely understand your thinking and feeling. Let me share with you my thinking, and I'd love to know how you feel about this:

You say you believe in a higher power. I think most people do. My personal feeling is that the religions of the world are a REFLECTION of that higher power. Some people feel comfortable in the Christian Tradition, others in the Buddhist, etc. My advice to you is to find what you are comfortable with. It could be just mountain climbing or walking outside and admiring ccreation. We all need to fill ourselves spiritually, mentally, physically, and socially/emotionally. Not giving each of these areas time and attention is like driving a car with 3 wheels. It'll go, just not very well.

Also, I recommend a book on this very subject, that gives other credit to all faith and spirituality. It's called the Heart of Christianity by Marcus Borg.

Man, I totally sympathize with you and understand your angst. You can't follow something that your head doesn't agree with. you don't have to, nor should you abandon your mind. Only God and perhaps you know how truly sincere you are in your quest for truth, but I'm convinced my God will reveal truth to all those who seek and keep on seeking. Don't give up! I too have struggled with questions and I've found a book that deals with it all in the most exhaustive orderly fashion I've ever seen. It shows how Christianity lines up with secular history, prophecy, science, and the reliability of the Bible, etc, etc. Its called, "The New Evidence that Demands a Verdict" by Josh Mcdowell. First. You can find salvation. You just have to look in the right place.
Second: Yahoo isn't the right place.

If you really are interested, visit some churches, talk with the church members, study religious texts on your own, with groups of other people, speak to the leaders of churches. Most of these yahoos just want to insult you or condemn you for believing in something different from them.

Find your own path. It will lead you in the right direction for you.

If you just ask God for Proof he will give it to you. God does not leave us with questions or questions of why we should believe him

You will never get a right answer from a human because words can't give you the proof of God, Heaven or Hell

The proof you need is spiritual proof and that can only happen when You sit down with just yourself,yourspirt, the bible and God and ask God to show you

1 Corinthians 2:14

14 The natural person does not accept the things of the Spirit of God, for they are folly to him, and he is not able to understand them because they are spiritually discerned.

This means unless you walk in your spirit and not your physical self you will never understand God, Hell or heaven
because you are looking for a physical explaination when the answer comes in spirit

Many Christians fail to understand this and they try hard to cram
and preach religion into you when they need to just show you the truths of God and then ask God to reveal it to your spirit-
If more Christians would realize this they wouldn't have to try so hard and more people would find salvation-

In the Movie the Matrix the physical world was the simulation and the spirit world was the real world

I believe that concept goes for this world-

Well I am not a theologian but as I recall from Sunday school class that if you are offered salvation and accept it then turn from it that's when you go to hell. If a person is not offered it then how could they go to hell for it. I am not saying I be live it just saying that's what is what I remember. I myself am more of a Deitiest sounds to me like you are as well. Live and let live.

The Scripture teaches that "the DEVILS believe and tremble". If DEVILS can believe and be subjected to the power and authority of Jesus, why can't you? Another Scripture says, "STUDY to show thyself APPROVED UNTO GOD, a workman needeth not be ashamed rightly DIVIDING THE WORD OF TRUTH." It means that through study, prayer and obedience to God's word you can increase your faith enough to take the leap into salvation through repentance, water baptism and sanctification. You have to WANT to resolve the matter to begin to understand it, for no one will be able to plead ignorance on that Day. A scripture says, "Mine Word have I written upon the tables of thine heart(conscience)", meaning that we already have the conscience God gives us to know the difference between right and wrong enough to develop our faith and wisdom in the Word.
