Are you serious? Do you really believe that because the liberals have gained political ground, for now, that the war in Iraq is over? Not even close, my friend. This thing could go on for years, and it could escalate. All Iran or Syria need do is step out of line and this thing could ratchet up, in a hurry.

Don't discount the actions of the wild card in this whole scenario, that is Israel. By now, the Israeli's have their contingency plan on the drawing board on how they plan to neuter Iran. It will happen, not if but when. They may wait until the nuclear program in Iran is just about completed, like they did in Iraq a few years ago. On the other hand, they may change their tactics. One thing is for sure about Israel, expect the unexpected!

Plenty of time left. Just make sure you know exactly why you are joining.

If you go, dont come back playing the disgruntled vet role either, when you come back nobody owes you nothing, so dont expect nothing, The sooner you get that through your head life will be so easy.

Nope, we will be there for awhile my friend, maybe not as large a force, but we will be there. Why would you want to go anyway? I just got back from there and it is the worst place on earth. Im an army MP, i couldn't wait to get out of there.

war is over in Iraq . it ended when bush said mission accomplished. you could join the occupation of Iraq,but policy will soon change. pres. maliki will say they are able to run the country on their own now and could you Americans please leave. try for Afghanistan.
