Its basically said to someone when they are very obviously lying or trying to cover something up. Have never heard it with pocket though, normally shoe.

We have some greatest phrases in the English language don't we? My fave is "as useful as a chocolate teapot."

Means: 'Don't take me for an idiot', in a very Irish way, probably connected to financial dealings.

Literally: 'I'm not so thick that a dodgy type like you could make me believe it is raining, by filling my pocket with urine'.

'I can tell shillings from sovereigns, without looking in the bag, you sly git'.

I think it means that someone objects to Your urinating into their pocket then trying to cover the offense by suggesting that it's raining as apposed to the pee pee filling up the pocket. What a strange thing to do to someone!

It means that the person who is telling you about the problem caused it.

Like knocking your car in a car park, then saying "you've got a nasty dent there!"

and so on
