i own a repair shop,and there not to bad on fuel i think its something like 16-20 in the city and 20-24 on the high way and the 4 wheel drive ones don't do that much different either,,i have one customer who owns one,and he says he gets around 28 on is,but he keeps it tuned up really well,but there not to bad,,good luck,i hope this help,s.

I had a 2WD '97 tacoma that got 22 to 25 city and 25 to 28 hwy althought it had the 2.4L engine. I would suspect the 2.7L would be about the same.
