My husband just deployed and said that he heard that the hazardous pay was going up from the $250 that it is right now. Has anyone else heard this?

I have not heard that, but I believe the soldiers deserve it.

As for the other poster...I remember it being like $110 as well and always thought it was odd how they could put a dollar figure on hazardous duty.

I wish your family the best with your husbands deployment and a safe and speedy return for him.

I am a military wife and there has been no raise and more then likely won't be one. My husband is currently deployed and he makes enough to match up with a full time worker at Burger King. I leave u with this, They lie to the wives about everything and the rule does stick tough (If the military wanted u to have a wife they would have issued u one). Hang in there and get a job to help your husband because I am still having trouble finding out what he will be getting paid. So hang in there! Good Luck!!

I've heard it off and on but there's always rumors flying around. I know a freind that's in Iraq right now and he's still getting the $250 at the moment so I wouldn't count on it being higher yet.

I worked at ft benning and Elpaso and seen first hand how plenty the civillian going over to iraq made. there have been civillian making 80,000 a 12 months only to make I d enjoying cards foreign places.the warriors who have been doing an identical interest didnt make a million/2 as much as they did.some squaddies have been retiring or letting their contracts holiday out so as that they'd bypass foreign places as a civillian.

I don't think Hazardous has changed... No current sources on that.

Are you referring to Hostile Fire / Imminent Danger (Those are seperate types of special pay)? There is talk of raising that, but we will not know until he 2007 Defense Authorization Act is signed..
