Could your inner voice be that which is "God" (You, me, everything and yet nothing?)

What if it was, and there were those out there who heard it all the time, and knew pure truth?

Do you think they would even be the least bit inclined to speak of it?

Do you have an opinion you wish to share?

Another interesting question. I like the way you think. To answer your question: it's entirely possible, though I think many people who claim to hear the "voice of God" are quite nutty. I also think they are not hearing the real voice. They are obsessed with fame, but they miss the real message, compassion.

Those who hear the real message don't speak about it, instead they are doing. They are giving, helping and being compassionate.

I do believe we are all born with an inner voice...conscience. Some people are so steeped in sin and doing evil their inner voice is seered . Christians have the holy spirit , which guides them daily to stay in God's will and do what is right.Do we ignore the holy spirit sometimes.. of course we're are human..but God brings us back to the fold through discipline.

My inner voice is intuition. Everytime I don't listen to it I usually end up being sorry. I really don't know if it's God speaking or just good common sense.

If you are hearing an inner voice and it sounds like you, it's called "thinking."

If you are hearing voices that don't sound like you and they are telling you what to do, it's called "insanity."

...... My inner voices, of which there are two... are not god, nor anything like it.

I can tell that quite clearly because one of them is far more like the christian notion of Satan and compels me to do all kinds of inherantly twisted and self-defeating things without even necessarily saying anything... and I just ignore that one because he is a pain in the ****.......
.... And the other is female and typically gives me rather sagely advice when she feels like it... which isn't all that often either... and sometimes I converse with her internally, but thats about it.

Some might think me mad for having voices in my head.... but the truth is simply that my triune psyche is personified in its individual aspects. My ID, Ego and Superego have separate and independantly capable personalities... that is to say.

Nothing even remotely religious nor spiritual about any of it.

In most people your inner voice is simply your conscious talking to you. In others they are just schizophrenics.
