First let me correct you , people don't change religions, they convert to religions. People may be converting to Islam, but people are also converting to other religions, like Buddhism, Jewish etc. I've seen this TV show called peace TV, and mostly Islamic Preachers are on this channel. But looking at a minority of people you cannot assume that "soo" many people have converted to Islam. I mean have you seen shows where there are Christian preachers, where there are many converts, and also a Muslim convert into Christianity, but by seeing this i cannot assume that "soo" many people have converted. Different people convert to different religions, and the type of conditions now, with terrorism and all, and Islam , i don't think people would be wanting to convert to Islam. But seriously, i am not against Islam, i'm just saying like it is. and this question shows how less you know about the world and what's goin on.

I've been thinking about Buddhism, for its philosophical outlook on life. It's more peaceful and in tune with the world, asks nothing of its believers besides happiness, and is a source of personal empowerment (not that any other religion isn't). I think it's a great religion.
Preaching is just asking for trouble, in my opinion. If you want someone to listen to a deity, they'll hear the words on their own, eventually. Pushing someone isn't healthy, and is a cause for strife in this world.
Hope that helps.

Muslims that convert to christianity have to be careful as their neighbors, family members and governments may try to harm or kill them (Abdul Rahman from Afgahnistan is an example of someone who had to leave his country). Hindus galore have converted to Christianity, a lot of them were Dalits (untouchables) before. And millions of former atheists in places like china have also converted, a famous one now is brother Yun
